International Conference of Biomolecular Engineering ICBE

January 5-7, 2016

The International Conference on Biomolecular Engineering brings together researchers who are using quantitative approaches to advance the understanding and application of molecular biology. These scientists, engineers, and professionals are contributing to the development of analytical, molecular, high-throughput, and therapeutic strategies that are directly relevant to public health and energy related issues. The conference, co-chaired by Paula T. Hammond (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA), Michael C Jewett (Northwestern University, USA) and Mary Chan Park (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore) will stimulate efforts to integrate these approaches across the scales of biological complexity. Additional information is found at the conference website here.   http://www.aiche.org/sbe/conferences/international-conference-biomolecular-engineering-icbe/2016

This conference is the premier event for faculty members, young professionals and upcoming students to network with the senior leaders of biomolecular engineering from both a research academia and/or industry perspective.  The conference will feature speakers and panelists presenting on the following topics:

·        Engineering Design in Metabolic Engineering (Rational Design-Build-Test, Metabolic Valves, etc.)
·        Frontier Applications in Metabolic Engineering (New Organisms, Mixed Cultures, etc.)
·        Computational Modeling in Metabolic Engineering.
·        DNA and RNA Assembled Systems/Biomaterials
·        Biomolecular Design of Functional Protein Biomaterials
·        Antibiotic and Microbicidal Materials Design Addressing Resistance
·        Emerging Tools in Synthetic Biology (Gene Editing, Modifications, etc.)
·        Precise Genome Engineering and Genome-Scale Engineering
·        Synthetic Biology Applications for Human and Environmental Health, Plants and Plant Products.

The Call for Abstracts for ICBE 2016 is now open and will end October 30th, 2015. Click the button below for details on how to submit a paper:

ICBE brings together researchers who are using quantitative approaches to advance the understanding and application of molecular biology. These scientists, engineers, and professionals are contributing to the development of analytical, molecular, high-throughput, and therapeutic strategies that are directly relevant to public health and energy related issues. The conference will stimulate efforts to integrate these approaches across the scales of biological complexity in a single-track non Gordon-style conference format.
